Music Ministry

Adult Choir
Queen of Angels Choir supports the assembly in song during Sunday Mass and other special Liturgies.  Members enjoy praising God in song, ministering to the people of the Parish, growing musically and spiritually, and spending time together.  They are of high school age or older.  The choir sings at the 10:30 am Mass but may occasionally sing at the other Masses.  The choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm from mid-September through Pentecost.

Children’s Christmas Choir
The Children’s Christmas Choir supports the assembly in song at the Vigil Mass of Christmas, 4:00 pm on Christmas Eve.  They rehearse in November and December.  This choir is open to all children of the parish in grades 3-8 on a first-come basis.  Watch the bulletin and parish announcements for notice of sign-up and rehearsal schedules.

Cantors
In confident dialogue with the assembly, cantors offer musical support as a gift of service to the people of Queen of Angels.  They help lead people to full, conscious, and active participation in Liturgical Celebrations. This ministry requires a good singing voice, a love of people, rehearsals, preparation, and special training (provided by the church) in Liturgy. Rehearsals as scheduled.  Cantors are of High School age or older.

School Cantors
Queen of Angels students in grades 4 through 8 rehearse during the school day. They sing for School Masses and other special Liturgies.

Funeral Choir
The Funeral choir serves grieving members of our community with the gift of musical support at Parish Funeral Masses.  This is open to anyone who can be available during the day on a few days notice.

Instrumentalists
Instrumentalists support the singing of the assembly and enhance Worship through their musical talent.  They play at various times throughout the year.
