Prayer Ministry

Bible Study (High School Youth & Adults)
An invitation is extended to all who want to enrich their knowledge and learn more about the Bible and their Catholic heritage. Through Bible Study you can create a more personal, loving relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.  There are a variety of sessions ongoing all through the year.  Each session will last 4 to 6 weeks and a person can join in at any time.  The session schedule will change on a quarterly basis, so please check the bulletin for more information.

Cenacle of Prayer Group
Our Rosary Cenacle was formed in response to the request made by our Blessed Mother to Fr. Don Stefano Gobbi on May 8, 1972---for priests, religious and the faithful to gather together, with her, in fervent prayer and fraternal love.  She asked that cenacles be formed everywhere in the world, thus preparing humanity for a new era of grace and holiness. This Marian movement, which began in Italy, has taken root all over the world with tens of thousands of cenacles going on around the clock.

We gather in Church every Wednesday, immediately following our 8:30 am Mass, to pray the Holy Rosary, with the special intention to pray for our Pope, our bishops, priests and seminarians.  We pray for our Queen of Angels Parish family and for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. In addition, on the last Wednesday of each month, following Mass and the praying of the Holy Rosary, we meet in the Chapel to read, pray and meditate on passages from our Blessed Mother to Fr. Gobbi, which he began to write down in 1973. The book, “To The Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons” now encompasses 25 years of messages.

It is wonderful to come together in the middle of the week and pray. We hope you will join us! Come and pray and petition Our Lady for your needs and those dear to you, as well as the needs of our troubled world.

Eucharistic Adoration
“O Come, Let Us Adore Him!”  Queen of Angels has Eucharistic Adoration on the every Tuesday from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm.  The Blessed Sacrament is exposed after the 8:30 am Mass with Reposition at 7:00 pm.  Parishioners are encouraged to sign-up for a specific hour of prayer during this time.  Benediction is prayed at 7:00 pm the second Tuesday of each month.

Prayer Chain Ministry
Persons involved in the Prayer Chain ministry contact one other person by phone with prayer requests passed on to them.  Prayer requests can be made by anyone, not just those who are members of our Parish.  Members of the Prayer Chain ministry are asked to pray for the needs of the people placed on the Prayer Chain.  Those who have access to e-mail may receive the prayer requests by e-mail for your convenience.  To add a person to the prayer request list by e-mail the address is qofaprayerchain@gmail.com.

Prayer Shawl Ministry                                                                                                                              Members of this ministry lovingly donate their time and talent by creating hand-knit and crocheted shawls for those in need of hope and healing.  The gift of a prayer shawl enables the recipient to be surrounded by prayer, and is a tangible reminder of God's care and love, encouragement and inspiration.  New members are always welcome!  Please check the Bulletin for meeting dates and times.
